Worship Ministries

Acolytes
Assist the clergy in the sanctuary to ensure that all worship services are celebrated smoothly. Children and adults are specifically trained for this ministry. Contact: Fr. Lochner.

Altar Guild
A "behind the scenes" group of dedicated people, carefully preparing the church for all worship services. They pick up the flowers, clean, polish, change altar linens and dossals according to the church season or service type, order wine and hosts for the Eucharist and ensure that all is in readiness for the clergy. Contact: Barbara Tonkin.

Choir
The Adult Choir open to anyone who wishes to enhance our liturgy and lead the congregation in service music. No experience is necessary, nor do you need to read music.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers/Visitors
LEM’s assist at the altar by administering the chalice during communion and by bringing the sacraments to the homebound. They are trained by our clergy and licensed by the diocese. Contact: Fr. Lochner.

Lectors
Lay members read the lessons, proclaiming the Word of God at every service during the year. Readings are mailed weekly to those scheduled to read for the upcoming Sunday. Contact: Don Tonkin.

Ushers
Ushers are the first to greet the congregation upon entering the church for worship services, handing out bulletins, finding seats when necessary, taking the count of worshipers, collecting the gifts, assisting in a smooth flow up to the communion rail and straightening up the church after the service is over. Contact: Sarah Wisniewski.
