Sunday School -  9:30a.m. Class begins in the Parish Hall

2007 Communion Class

Our Sunday School classes, for children ages 3 & up, begin in September and end in June with Awards Sunday . Classes are held in the Parish Hall and the Rectory. The 2nd Grade curriculum includes preparation for Communion Sunday. Grades 7 & 8 prepare to make a mature public affirmation of their faith through the Service of Confirmation. Each class participates in a Children’s Liturgy, reading the lessons, bearing the elements, collecting the gifts and assist in ushering and all the children are welcome to participate in the Christmas Pageant. Contact: Rachel Grobelny, Sunday School Superintendent.

Children’s Chapel - Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Children’s Chapel, for ages 3-7 is held downstairs in the Parish Hall. Parents are welcome to stay with their child/children. This is a worship service brought down to a child’s level of understanding. The children can ask questions, express their thoughts and actively participate in a lectionary based service with music.

Senior Youth Group

This year marks the beginning of a new Youth Ministry Program for children who are in grades six through twelve. This program will be community based and will be under the joint leadership of the Episcopal, Reformed and Methodist Churches located in Spotswood. A Youth Ministry meeting will be held every third Sunday of the month from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. Each program will feature a Biblical theme and will apply that theme to some aspect of life as experienced by our youth. We will also enjoy a light supper together, engage in a common activity and end the evening with a brief prayer service. The programs will be planned and supervised by Youth Ministry Teams from the three parishes. The first program will be Sunday, September 15th at 5 p.m. a The Reformed Church across the street from the Post Office in Spotswood.
